Arts Conservatory for Teens’ music classes are designed to immerse students in the fundamental elements of music, such as: theory, musicianship, history, and technique.
Beginner and Intermediate Classes
for Middle and High School Students are offered 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM at select Pinellas County Schools;
4:30 PM - 5:30 PM Monday - Thursdays
Advanced Classes
Our Young Creator’s Alliance Classes are intended for High School and Middle Students at the intermediate to advanced skill level. Classes are offered on Wednesdays from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
Music Production Gallery
Our faculty is renowned in their respective disciplines and have extensive experience in the professional music industry. Students have the opportunity to hone their creative skills through guided instruction and hands-on training. ACT offers a number of unique and exciting performance opportunities, such as ACT Student Showcases, plays, and live musical performances.
Our lessons and exercises consist of improvisation, analytics, and an intuitive understanding of music as a global cultural language. Our classes and workshops provide an environment that enhances our students’ creative potential and helps them develop their gifts and talents.
Students will learn to identify elements of music, including melody, rhythm, harmony, form, texture, expressive devices, and tension and release, using basic sequencing techniques to create original compositions. Students studying music production will learn to identify analog and digital recording (pro tools, logic, reason) and editing techniques; utilizing amplification and playback systems to produce and edit sound.
Our classes and workshops provide a platform for students to critically engage the past and present of the music culture.
