Our classes give students a realistic, hands-on experience, providing them with the opportunity to learn the technique of entertaining, educating, and storytelling in a way that inspires, informs, and captivates audiences. Throughout the program, students develop a broad appreciation for video production – building upon theory, production, and traditional and global standpoints of cinematography.

In our film production classes, students learn how to operate a video camera, how to capture well composed video images, and how to capture great sound. Our program focuses on instilling techniques for video editing and teaches how best to capture and use audio for compelling storytelling. Lessons and exercises consist of pre-production, production or principal photography, and post-production. Our classes and workshops provide an environment that enhances the students’ creative potential and allows for the opportunity to critically engage the past and present of video production.

“I’ve had the opportunity to see these young people performing. You see the passion that they bring and that makes me feel good because I know they are on the right track”
